Kia ora, I’m Kate - I started Lighthouse Casting. I love telling stories and empowering others to do so. My ethos is centred around human kindness, and bringing yourself to the work. I pride myself on curating safe spaces for people to explore character, worlds, and play. As well as a casting director, I’m an actor, director and māmā. I’ve been lucky enough to work on some really cool, groundbreaking projects, and have had the support of some wonderful wāhine along the way. I wanted to branch out and form a company that allows the awesome team of people I work with to be keepers of the house, within a vision I feel is clear. A lighthouse looks out, marks down every potential ship and it keeps home safe. We are a sturdy home, always looking out for potential, and embracing the storytellers that enter the water.
